Adriana Amado

Art is important to me because it makes me value everything around me and art helps me value the work it takes.

Adriana Amado, Junior Artists

I am Adriana Amado and I’m a Junior at Ernest Righetti High School. I have always loved art and enjoyed messing with colors and painting with my mom. It helps me express myself and allows my creativity to flow. Art is important for society, it helps speak for the people that aren’t able to speak with words. Art is important in my society because it allows people to express their feelings or what they believe in. Producing art allows me to let go of everything I am stressing out about and let my creative side flow and it lets me express what I feel without having to say anything. Art has been a big part of my life from a young age.

My favorite kinds of art are zentangles, painting, and collages. My favorite mediums are paper, acrylic paints, and my pencil. My future plans with art is to continue to do it in my leisure time to let me express how I feel, because making art is therapy for me. I plan to take another art class sometime in the future but I know I will continue to make art. Art is something I love to do so I will always continue to do it in the future.

I have learned a lot about the artists, their painting, styles, and what the artists have gone through. Art isn’t a simple thing because it is more than colors and a piece of paper. There are feelings and emotions that go into someone’s artwork. We can interpret art in so many ways and guess the underlying meanings of beautiful artworks. I have learned a lot through art and I learned how to perfect my art and I will continue to learn more about art. My art reflects what I like and shows the beauty in nature. I love bright colors and using patterns. Bright colors make life a lot brighter and happier which is why I love it. It is important to me because it makes me value everything around me and art helps me value the work it takes.
