Tanner Poulis

As an artist in photography, I try to capture a variety of images. Candids of people, wildlife, semi-posed (as in photographing them in a pose, but bringing the image to life through natural reactions in discussion), and journalistic photography. Overall though, I try to capture moments. Moments in time, kept in a physical form. I struggle quite a bit with loss, and so I feel as though I can, in a weird way, keep the one thing we are meant to lose – time. I do hope I can make photography a career of mine. The joy I see on my clients’ faces when they receive the finished product is so special; those are often the highlight of the entire experience. I do photography for the love of art, the preservation of time itself, and the pleasure it brings to those who experience it. It is a medium like almost no other, and I take pride in that.
