“Everyone’s view is different and unique.”

Kayli Hernandez, Junior Artist

Art shapes who we are, whether it is painting, drawing, or even a type of performance. Everyone has a different view on what they think is art and how it should look. Producing art was never really a thought in my brain, it was just something that I would do when I was bored or when I had free time. I guess it feels pretty cool to be able to say that I have produced artwork before. I think that if I had more time to do the collage it would be my favorite but I personally like just painting my favorite. My favorite medium is just simply acrylic paint. It is easy to work with and there are so many things you can use it on, you do not just have to paint on a canvas or a piece of paper. I am not sure what my future art plans are, of course I will keep creating art but I am not sure if I will take any more classes. I have learned that art takes patience and skill, you can’t just pick  up a pencil  one day and be amazing at drawing. It takes time and dedication. My art reflects me because it is neat, bright, and overall put together very well. This shows that I am able to be organized, creative, and neat. Most of my work is colorful and or has bright colors in it, this is because I love bright and loud colors. It makes you feel better when there are colors to see. I honestly think that colors are the most important part of your work, if your art is supposed to be sad and gloomy you aren’t going to add a lot of bright colors but instead maybe some grays and blacks to show that its gloomy.
