My AP body of work is very much about capturing a moment in time, and to be able to, from just that moment, tell a story. My art pieces feature wildlife (animals), and I often incorporate hues of blue, green, and purple. When I use these cooler colors, I like to use contrasting complimentary colors to pop out areas of interest. When working with my favored materials, acrylic paints, charcoal, graphite, colored pencils, and even digital I like to create bright contrast and a range of values. I frequently use dark backgrounds to draw focus to the bright highlighted subject matter. In the above gallery you can see the evolution-starting from the blue frog- of my art over the year. My pieces start out still, almost lifeless, but as time moves on I start capturing the subject in the middle of movement.
